Baptism - Book Study

This is a weekly study of David Scaer's book on Baptism led by Pastor Jeremy Rhode. Martin Luther believed that Baptism is the foundational sacrament.  He did not value one means of grace over another in offering forgiveness, but he did make distinctions. He viewed each sacrament (Baptism, Lord's Super and Confession/Absolution) as having a unique function, and one could not be substituted for another.  Baptism is not simply an entrance ceremony into the Christian community, but is equated with the Christian life and establishes church boundaries.
