Dr. Michael Eschelbach on the Parables of Jesus
Please join us on Sunday April 10 during the adult Bible study hour at 9:15 am as Dr. Michael Eschelbach teaches on The Parables of Jesus. Matthew and Mark both record Jesus stating that He would not teach the people in public unless it was in a parable. We will consider the nature of parables and explore examples of various kinds of parables and parabolic language in the Bible.
Dr. Eschelbach is the recipient of the Concordia University Arts and Sciences Effective Teaching/Learning Award (2002); the Concordia University Student Association Professor of the Year (2000–2001, 2001–2002, 2004–2005); and the American Bible Society “Scholarly Studies in Greek” achievement award conferred by Concordia Theological Seminary (1985).
Dr. Eschelbach and his wife, Emily, have four children.
