LWML
Lutheran Women's Missionary League
(LWML)
The LWML seeks to develop and maintain a greater mission consciousness among women of the LCMS through education, inspiration, and service.
We are a local member of the national LWML organization, founded in 1942. We participate in the district convention and support the funding of national grants by our Mite Box Offerings.
Our local LWML meets on the third Monday each month for a fellowship dinner and short meeting from 6pm to typically 7:30 pm at Agape Hall. We have a lot of fun there, bring our volunteer help and ideas and vote on our actions. Every female member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is inherently a member of LWML and is welcome to join our meetings and/or help with events.
We raise funds for missions through events, our largest of these being the annual Women's Spring Tea and our annual winter “Make It, Bake It, Sew It, Grow It” We try to think of new and creative ways to raise funds and awareness of missionary efforts. We also support our own Alter Guild.
There are no dues, no membership cards, or required meeting attendance, only your desire to participate in our activities. Contact ahitzfield@yahoo.com for our local group, and
