Large catechism

The Large Catechism is designed from Martin Luther's sermons to be an instruction for children and the simple-minded. It includes what every Christian must know. It is the duty of every father of a family to question and examine his children and servants to ascertain what they know of it, or are learning so that those who come to the Lord's Supper know and have a fuller understanding of all Christian doctrine than children and new scholars. These doctrine parts in this teaching series are the following: Ten Commandments of God, Chief Articles of our Faith, the "Our Father" which Christ taught, Baptism, and Lord's Supper sacrament.
